Allgemeine Beschreibung : This 1984 Chevrolet K10 Silverado has a great 4x4 stance, V8 power, overdrive transmission, and much more. It's the right mix of vintage style and useful features...and it's all wrapped in a value-priced package.
There's a nice first impression with glossy red paint, full Silverado premium trim, and even a detailed silver/black pinstripe surrounding this truck. But what you'll really love is all the function within the stylish package. There's a tall 4x4 stance, tow hooks, wide side mirrors, a proper trailer hitch, and liner paint protecting the bed. And the finish has that fine line where it looks good driving through town, but it's not so pristine that you get nervous around the kind of mud holes that make this 4x4 fun.
The maroon interior looks good against the exterior red, and a Silverado-level truck means premium features. This includes power windows, AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a tilt steering column that gives you a clear view to the wraparound gauge package. Plus, the seat is borrowed from a later model Silverado. It gives you better bolstering and a fold-down armrest for individual comfort. There are provisions for other factory features like power locks and air conditioning (they will need servicing if you want to return the full function.) Overall, the value price leaves room in the budget if you want to make improvements, but there's already something nice about getting solid fundamentals in the presentation.
Under the hood is proper small block power. The 305 cubic-inch V8 includes upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake. It gives the V8 some added muscle. And when you combine that with the two-speed 4x4 transfer case, lifted suspension, and BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires, you have a true go-anywhere machine. While this one has an unmistakable ability, there are also some nice feature for all-around driving comfort. For example, it's great for the highway because you have been upgraded to a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It also has power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
