It features a 413 CID V-8 engine under the hood with an automatic transmission and this beautiful roadster is very nicely equipped for modern highway driving with power brakes, power steering, a power soft top and a factory radio as well. One of 1,861 Total Indy Pace Car Editions Built In 1963


In case you’re unfamiliar, the 1963 Chrysler 300 Pace Setter Convertible was an official Indy Pace Car back in the day and this is a rare build. It comes equipped with a special factory interior including the squared-off steering wheel and a special insignia on the front grille and fenders. Only 1,861 models of this desirable muscle car were produced in the roadster and a mere handful remains today. This particular example is an older frame-off restoration that still shines like a diamond, with excellent paint and chrome work throughout. The interior is virtually flawless as well.

This rare and wonderful Chrysler convertible is one special car. Being picked for the Indy 500 is a very special and rare honor. This particular 300 is finished in a matching red/white two tone inside and out. With red on the sides and white on the top of the car it always looks like its going fast. The interior is the opposite with a mainly white interior with red inserts.

The 413 V8 fires right up and runs and idles solid. The push button automatic transmission functions terrifically and goes into gear great. With a very low and original 29k miles on it besides the expected age of the motor and transmission both are mechanically sound. The steering is what one would expect from any classic from the 50's-70's and almost glides down the road. It is enjoyable to jump in start up and just cruise and see the attention that you will get in this striking and very rare convertible.
