Dodge Brothers Company, von Horace und John Dodge im Jahr 1900 gegründet, zunächst Komponenten für Automobilhersteller produziert. 1914 sie in Automobil trat bei der Einführung von Vierzylinder-Dodge-Modell 30 mit Ganzstahlkarosserie und 12v elektrisches System.

Bis 1920 hatte Ausweichen der zweitgrößte Automobilhersteller in den USA, leider noch im selben Jahr die beiden Brüder starben, das Unternehmen wiederum wurde 1928 von Chrysler Corporation Ausweichen eine Nische der Chrysler Corporation Formation über preisgünstige Plymouth und werden mittleren Preis DeSoto, aber etwas unterhalb der Top-of-the-line-Chrysler.
