This 124 Coupe, often referred to as the "poor man's Ferrari," was originally delivered new in Belgium. Coupés of this model were primarily purchased as daily sporty drivers, enduring winter conditions and the accompanying road salt. Unfortunately, like many cars from that era, they were highly susceptible to rust, and this particular car was no exception. At some point, the rust underneath the car was meticulously repaired with patches, though the repairs are still visible. The car has been repainted in a stunning verde chiaro color. While it is uncertain whether this was the original color, it was an option listed in the car's catalogue. However, there are currently some blistering issues on the paint, likely due to a reaction between the old synthetic paint and the new water-based paint. Recently, both the gearbox and engine of the car have been rebuilt, a significant improvement to its mechanical condition. The car retains its original interior and woodwork, adding to its authenticity and value. Overall, it is in a ready-to-use state, and it is worth noting that only a few of these models have survived throughout the years.
