Description : Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this beautiful Blue Flame Metallic 1977 Ford Bronco. The Blue Flame Metallic paint (from Ford's 2015 truck color palette) really pops in bright sunlight, and the finish is very nicely executed. Bronco lovers everywhere will recognize the quality of this build, which was completed to order by Build-A-Bronco in 2015. This custom ride is now on its second owner since its "commissioning owner" had it built to his specifications, and it still has less than 5K miles on the build. Part of the project plan included keeping the height of the truck below 81", so it would fit in a standard height garage opening (as well as allow for easy commercial transport when being shipped across country), while the rest included ensuring that this Bronco would be suitable for both on- and off-road adventures with the whole family. To that end, a custom tubular race-inspired tube steel chassis was selected, and completely powder coated in a silver/gray "hammer forged finish". From there, several James Duff custom parts were added, including 2.5-inch lift, steering stabilizer, offroad radius arms, and more. The offroad front coil springs were also coated red to match the badging color scheme and add some contrast. Twin Bilstein gas shocks up front, along with singles out back, provide adjustable suspension damping. A fresh set of 33-inch BF Goodrich Radial T/A KO2 tires provide tons of traction offroad, while still providing a decent on road experience; and the blacked-out aluminum Fuel "Revolver" wheels continue the "if it was chrome, black it out" colors motif. This slick custom Bronco is powered by a potent 331 CID V8 from Jasper, which is fitted with an Edelbrock 4BBL carb, aluminum intake, aluminum heads, ceramic-coated headers, and MSD ignition. The powerful V8 is kept cool by a custom Ron Davis aluminum radiator. Backing the potent 331 is a Ford C4 3-speed automatic transmission, which sends the torque out back to the highway-friendly 3.54:1 gear-equipped Ford 9" rear end, while a T-20 transfer case enables power transfer to the Dana 44 front end. Further enhancements to the build include "Rhino-style" coating on the interior floors, as well as underneath (wherever off-roading might send up debris and risk marring the finish of "show car smooth" paint), so you can get out there and enjoy this beast wherever/whenever you want to go without feeling like you need to avoid driving where you might scratch the paint. Inside, a stock-appearing Bronco interior was selected, along with some custom touches. An Alpine AM/FM/CD head unit is tucked away in the locking center console, and a Powermaster alternator was selected to ensure that plenty of amperage gets through the electrical system. The fuses were relocated to the custom-finished glove box to keep them from moisture and provide easy access to the modern style fuse box. Other custom interior touches include the electronic Dakota Digital "ana/digi" single gauge cluster, which provides analog display using digital accuracy for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temp, voltmeter, speed, and engine RPM. The custom roll bar setup includes grab handles for the rear passengers, and anchors for adding 3-point belt system for the rear passengers. Additionally, rear mounting brackets are included for securing child safety seats in the rear; so, if you've got a family with younger ones, you don't have to find a babysitter - attach their car seat, and take them to Moab with you! This custom Bronco also features AMP Research PowerStep electric running boards, Power Brakes (discs up front, drums in rear), Power Steering, upgraded electric windshield wiper system, a true dual exhaust system, black synthetic leather seating, a fresh custom fabric top, new weatherstripping and seals, stainless steel lower windshield hinge, seat belts, and a custom wood rimmed aluminum steering wheel. This Bronco has been well thought out and built with a lot of attention to craftsmanship and detail, so if you're looking for a 1st Gen Bronco that's ready to rock without excuse or needing TLC to get it right, this one should be at the top of your list. Call or email our Houston Showroom today to make it yours!
