Ford Fairlane Restomod 4.6 Liter DOHC 32 Valve V8 1957

Allgemeine Beschreibung : Description
It's often hard to find the words to adequately describe cars as incredible as this 1957 Ford Fairlane Restomod. Insane red-on-black paint, a luxurious Ultraleather A/C interior, and a thumping 4.6L SVT Ford V8 crate motor. Yeah, it's got all the A+ goodies you look for in a high-end restomod. Outstanding in every way, it's a spectacular nut-and-bolt build, recently finished to a very high standard and ready to continue collecting trophies (it's already won a couple big ones) at every show it attends.
1957 Fords naturally lend themselves to a two-tone paint job (the swooping profile trim practically begs for it), so once the body was stripped, any potential issues were resolved, and the metalwork was finished, a spectacular and sophisticated combination of Mercedes-Benz Red and Black paints found their way onto the sheetmetal by way of the pros at 'The Next Level' in Tampa. It's instantly appealing and flashy, but also timeless so this isn't a car that will date itself easily and will look this good years from now. Panel fit is exemplary with even gaps and super straight alignment between the fenders and doors, a critical detail on these Fords due to the dramatic side trim. And speaking of side trim, it's as dialed-in as you'd expect, providing the perfect line of demarcation between the two colors. All the chrome was either replace or re-plated and reattached with infinitely more care than the factory ever could manage and all the glass was replaced with new stuff offering a smoked tint. Modern headlights light the way and there's really not much you can do to make Ford's jet-like taillights any cooler, so they were merely polished and reinstalled under the fins where they belong.
The custom Ultraleather interior is equally stunning, installed by Texas legend Billy Blair, and combining old and new so seamlessly that you can't find the line. Those are '64 Galaxie buckets, now wrapped in super-soft Ultraleather hides with new door panels and a custom center console created to match using designs that resemble the exterior trim. While you're admiring the door panels, also note that the two-tone paint scheme extends into the door jambs for a very trick effect, further proof that NOTHING was overlooked in the commission of this build. The two-tone dash and Sparc steering wheel were refinished in brilliant red-and-black to match the exterior as well, and a full complement of Classic Instruments gauges were laid perfectly in the dash just ahead of the driver. Vintage Air A/C was added using integrated vents and controls in the dash, and there's a custom stereo system (installed by the pros at 'Sound Shack' in TX) managed by an Alpine head unit in the glove compartment, and it powers a Kicker amp and subwoofer in the trunk along with plenty of speakers throughout the cabin. That aforementioned bespoke center console houses a big screen for a back-up camera (still needs to be wired up), along with the short shifter for the Tremec 5-speed manual below – but more on that later. Out back, the big trunk was restored to match the interior, using the same stylish side panels and plus carpets found inside the fully-insulated cabin.
The hand-built crate engine is a 4.6L DOHC 32 Valve V8 - you know, like the kind that propel Mustangs to warp speeds – and it makes this handsome custom a fantastic cruiser on the open road. Like the rest of the car, the engine bay was built to show, starting with bright red enamel on the block and matching valve covers, and that polished cold air intake system on top that helps it sparkle. A Telorvek EFI management system provides instant throttle response, and modern wiring and plumbing give this Fairlane great dependability out on the open road. Power 4-wheel disc brakes and a Fatman Mustang II power rack-and-pinion steering system give it a modern feel on the road, and the highly detailed chassis was built to be driven not just shown, with a burbling Flowmaster dual exhaust system, quick-shifting Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, and a John Industries 9-inch Trac-Lok rear end with 31 spline axles and 3.70 gears. The stance was lowered just enough to make it look right with 2-inch dropped spindles up front, a 4-link and Air Ride set-up in the back, and coilvoers all around, and then the wheel wells were stuffed full of staggered Intro billet wheels – 18x7 up front and 20x8.5 in the rear.
Cars simply don't get much nicer than this Ford and the fact that you can buy it for far less than what it would cost to repeat the build means that owning a show-winner is within your reach. Call today!
