Ford Model A 1931

Allgemeine Beschreibung : The 1931 Ford Model A is a popular choice for hot rod enthusiasts due to its classic design and availability. When it comes to building a hot rod, there are countless variations and modifications that can be done, but this one was done right!
Starting with an all-steel Brookville body with a 4' chopped top sitting on a custom Riley frame. The team at DiDomenico Hotrods in Cromwell, CT went to work perfecting the exterior then applied PPG Carmel Corn Gold/Base Coat Clear paint that is flawless.
Once the body was ready the car went off to Shoreline Auto Upholstery in Chester, CT to have the bench seat covered in white with gold trim and carpet. All this work is topped off with a Stay-Fast Oyster White lift off cloth top, total perfection!
Now time to put something between the frame rails so Carlquist in Oakville, CT built the 327ci Tri-Power Chevy small block with 317 horsepower that is matted up to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Out back is a Currie 9' rear end with 3.50 Posi all in the custom narrowed housing.
Nothing says cool old school Hot Rod like big and little wide whitewall tires! Radir Wheels mounted with Coker wide whitewall tires are ready to hit the pavement.
Suspension is done period correct with Vega style steering box, I-beam front axle that has a 4' drop along with being drilled and chromed. Holding all that in place is the split wishbone radius rods which are also chromed. To bring this custom build to a stop are front disc brakes disguised as So-Cal Buick-style drums along with drum rear brakes.
No creature comforts here, just you and the open road with Classic Instruments keeping an eye on the engine while you cruise along listening to the sound of that well built Chevy small block.
