Ford Mustang 1969

Allgemeine Beschreibung : Over the past few years, we've certainly seen some nice pro-tourers. But this striking Mustang, with its hot Coyote motor and alluring aesthetics, is definitely one of the coolest! Fully sorted and ready to hit the road, this awesome Ford combines a solid 500 horsepower with tailored yet aggressive swagger. And today, thanks to a meticulous, 3,000-hour build, not only is it a sweet place to cruise the streets, it's also instantly recognizable muscle that could easily rule the front row. Looking for a dreamy classic that simply has it all? This awesome pony checks every box!
THREE THOUSAND HOURS AND SIX FIGURES
A six-figure, ground-up build that included a roster of custom tweaks, this Mustang supplements solid sheetmetal with aggressive detailing that walks a fine line between vintage muscle car and modern sports car. Instead of donning traditional, non-metallic paint, the car features rich PAINTHOUSE Randy Apple Red III 2-stage that's incredibly dynamic. In the name of proactive preservation, that smooth PPG pigment was professionally microfinished and ceramic coated in late 2018. And it all adds up to one head-turning thoroughbred that's ready strain necks and poised to drop jaws!
There's no question the 1969 Mustang is one of the best-looking classics of all time. And when a skilled builder adds a few custom touches, it makes the car that much better! At the front of this Ford, a custom fiberglass valance levels a one-piece aluminum splitter beneath custom billet grilles and a cut, tucked and body-matched bumper. At the edges of those grilles, Delta Tech Halo LED headlights flash sequential indicators above fully integrated fog lamps. Opposite those lamps, a stainless-trimmed Ram Air Hood floats modern Mustang heat extractors between custom 'CobraJET' logos and polished Quik-Latch hood ties. Behind that hood, polished stainless trim traces tinted glass, which rides between sleek mirrors, polished wipers, a filled cowl and filled C-pillar gills. Beneath that greenhouse, functional, black-trimmed quarter scoops flare bright stainless mesh behind custom cobra emblems, Kindig It door handles and massaged Mustangs To Fear rockers that cage Eleanor-style exhaust. Behind those flares, a custom, one-piece spoiler shades a billet fuel filler and a second cut, tucked and body-matched bumper. And below that camera-equipped bumper, a custom fiberglass valance frames fully integrated reverse lamps.
COYOTE, PONY AND COBRA
Hoist this coupe's custom hood and you'll find five liters of Ford Performance Coyote motor that's been tuned to a stout 500 horsepower by the pros at Lund Racing. At the top of the engine, custom Cold Air Induction introduces wind to an Aeromotive return-style fuel system that's capable of producing up to 1,000 horsepower. At the sides of the engine, long-tube Mustangs To Fear headers optimize breathing. At the front of the engine, a Vintage Air Front Runner serpentine drive spins a modern alternator, a modern AC compressor and modern power steering. In front of those ancillaries, a 2-row Griffin radiator strings two electric puller fans beneath a custom, body-matched shroud. Quality detailing includes billet reservoirs, billet Eddie Motorsports hood supports and custom, 'Cobra' engraved bolts. And the svelte powerplant is extremely tidy, with custom 'CobraJET' branded cam covers and a sleek '5.0' branded cowl concealing most of its Factory Silver block.
UPGRADES, UPGRADES AND UPGRADES
Bottom-side, quality Detroit Speed mini tubs integrate nicely into solid, RAPTOR-clad floors. The car's smooth mill utilizes a fresh 4R70W 4-speed to deal power to a custom Driveshaft Specialist driveshaft, which spins a familiar Ford 9-inch that's finished with 3.70 gears, a posi-traction differential and 31-spline Currie axles. That drivetrain is pushed by a Heidts PRO-G 4-bar, which wraps tubular control arms around double adjustable Viking coil-overs. Those components are led by a Mustang II-style Mustangs To Fear front-clip, which cages power rack-and-pinion steering in tubular control arms and double adjustable QA-1 coil-overs. That suspension, lowering the car's ride height by six inches, stops quick thanks to body-matched Wilwood calipers, which squeeze a total of 20 pistons around 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors. Large-diameter exhaust centers an H-shaped crossover in front of electronic Quick Time Performance cutouts and rowdy Mustangs To Fear mufflers. Power meets the pavement through forged Boze blades, which twist engraved cobra centers inside 245/40R18 Mickey Thompson Street Comps and 305/35R19 Mickey Thompson ET Streets. And details like an electric parking brake and stainless fluid lines provide both reliability and flash.
A COCOON OF CUSTOM STYLE
Hit this Ford's Barracuda keyless entry and you'll find a tastefully customized cockpit that wraps thoughtfully upgraded technology around high grade leather. Front and center, tall Mustangs To Fear buckets are framed by a one-piece Mustangs To Fear headliner that's complete with integrated reading lamps. A leather-wrapped dash founds billet air vents next to clean Dakota Digital telemetry that's backed by quality American Autowire wiring. A leather-wrapped console operates as the car's central command center, framing Vintage Air climate control and Watson's StreetWorks power window and power door lock buttons with hidden ignition, auxiliary power outlets and a Powertrain Control Solutions gear selector. Custom carpet floats color-keyed floor mats between billet foot pedals, thick RAPTOR Liner and HushMat sound insulation. Custom door panels, designed to mimic the body's exterior lines, string impressive show lights over stainless speaker grilles. Tunes are funneled through a modern Pioneer head unit, which blasts a JL Audio amp, JL Audio tweeters, JL Audio speakers and 10-inch JL Audio subwoofers. And the driver carves curves through a leather-wrapped Moto Lita steering wheel, which laps a tilting Ididit column.
When it comes to maximizing the amount of metal your money buys, you simply can't go wrong with a purpose-built pro-tourer. Thanks to its exceptional attention to detail, this legendary Ford is a great driving piece that's fun, unique AND reliable. If you're looking for an awesome classic that commands respect on both the boulevard and the show field, this red-hot Mustang is just your style!
