Ford Pick Up 350ZZ 1937

Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1937 Ford Pickup While most previous years saw Pickups and Cars being very similar except for the bed, Ford did some pretty unique things in the late 30s.  While they still followed along with the trends, the Pickup series often looked very different from the Coupes and Convertibles of the same year.  This makes them quite unique.  Park a 37 Ford Pickup next to a 37 Ford Coupe and you wouldn't be able to identify them as the same year by their front end appearance like you would in the past.  The very nice 37 Pickup you see here is one of the cleanest examples of these trucks that we have come across.  It was a full frame off custom build completed professionally by Ramsey's Rods out of Fort Worth, TX.  Look at the truck up close including the undercarriage and it becomes obvious how well the truck was put together.  It has 925 miles on it and looks like new.  The body is all original Henry Ford steel and very straight.  The paint is a very nice combination of Red with Black fenders which gives it a very classic vintage look.  It wears nice pinstriping accents throughout and they are very tastefully done.  It is the type of build that takes 30's nostalgia and kicks it up a notch with very subtle touches that almost look stock until you realize what you are looking at.  For example on the rear tailgate the truck has the embossed Ford logo redone with Gold leaf.  It is the perfect accent that really adds to the already good looking classic Ford exterior.  All of the chrome work and stainless on the truck has a beautiful finish and it even has the 85 (hp) V8 emblems on the nose and hood side louvers.  The grill on truck is painted a gloss Black which looks great especially sitting between those swooping Black fenders.  All of the glass is in great shape, is tinted and it even has its original style two piece windshield that pushes out.  The bed which is one of our personal favorite features on these old trucks was completely redone and hand made with Oak slats and stainless rails.  A chrome horn, electric wiper system, chrome mirrors....the list of nice features goes on and on.  The truck rides on spoke, painted to match, wheels which look perfect on the truck and are wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.  It may be wearing vintage 85 hp emblems but the entire drivetrain has been gone through and is more modernized for reliability and comfort.  It is now sporting a GM 350ZZ crate motor that runs very well.  It has been dressed up with a Zoops engine kit, chrome brackets, polished lines, and tons of other nice chrome accents.  It is definitely a motor you will want to show off.  The truck has zero heating issues and utilizes a Griffin radiator and dual electric fans.  The electrical was all redone with a Painless wiring kit and everything works properly.  Backing up the motor is a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission with hydraulic clutch and a Ford 9 inch rear end.  The brakes are disc throughout and are Wilwoods that are power assisted.  Underneath the truck everything is cleanly mounted and nicely finished off including the powder coated Cornhusker frame.    The interior is very well done and features hand stitched leather upholstery done in a Black and White color combo.  It has a Old Air AC/Heat system and the vents were custom routed to be mounted just under the headliner instead of an underdash unit.  This is another great example of the detail work that went into this classic.  The Ididit tilt steering column is painted a gloss Black and topped off with a polished Banjo steering wheel.  The dash is nicely painted to match the exterior and fitted with Classic Instrument gauges.  It has a hidden custom stereo system mounted in the glovebox to avoid muddying up the dash and is controlled via a remote.  There are so many nice features in the build that there is no way we got them all listed.  It really is a great looking truck with zero issues and a fresh, just completed, look.  There really isn't a weak area throughout.  It shows well, drives well and needs nothing.  You don't see many of these done to this caliber.  This truck has been SOLD!
