Ford V-8 305 TPI 1934

Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1934 Ford Cabriolet There is just something about the early 30’s Fords that will never get old. These follow ups to the Model A were quite popular in their day but were revitalized later in life as we entered the 40s, 50s, 60s becoming the go to classic for the hot rodding era. In addition to their already unique look the custom car world grabbed on to them making them on of the most popular style of street rods on the road. This led to the creation of fiberglass bodies which allowed more cars to be built but also made the steel original bodies just that much more sought after and rare. In 34, the look was still similar to previous years but the laid back hood and wide swooping fenders added a touch of luxury to the already nice look cars. The 34 you see here is a very clean example of one of these cars and known as a Cabriolet. It was completed in 2018 and built by a good friend who is keeping the hotrodding dream alive. He always seems to marry the perfect touch of originality with some upgrading to make them much more streetable. The steel body is in excellent shape and sits on a fully boxed frame. Bob Drake vulcanized running boards have been added. The paint was laid down by a very high end painter in the area that is known for his top shelf work. He doesn’t have a giant collision business where he will work on any old car. He instead takes on very limited projects at a time and has a long waiting list of people waiting for him to spray their car. He laid down very nice looking Vinyard Green paint which is an original Ford color. It is without a doubt way nicer than the paint the car wore originally. All of the chrome/stainless pieces are in great shape and we are glad to see them in places. There was a time when removing bumpers and painting chrome was a popular look but that has changed as more people are favoring the original stylings. The beige retractable top gives a nice contrast to the Green paint and being a Cabriolet the car does have the built in side windows. The car still has a working cowl vent and is an original rumble seat car. The rumble seat has been removed in exchange for storage space but the original seat bottom does come with it. The car rides on original 1934 large spoke combo wheels which are painted to match and feature V8 center caps. Despite its original looks on the outside the drivetrain has been totally redone. It is now powered by a 305 TPI firebird motor that runs great. The firewall has been smoothed, modified and painted making the motor look right at home. A Walker radiator is mounted up front keeping the car running nice and cool. Backing the motor is a 700R4 automatic transmission and a 9 inch Ford Lincoln Versailles rear end with 2:90 gears. With this rear end swap comes disc brakes in back and a Mustang II front end was added also with discs. The suspension in back is parallel leaf springs. The car runs down the road very well combining a vintage original look with some modern reliability. The interior upholstery, carpet, bench seat, and door panels were entirely redone by Keith Kirk Upholstery here in Texas. It is a dark Brown color and in great shape. A custom center console was built to provide cup holders, storage and to house the floor shifter. The dash has the original style wood grain aesthetic. After market gauges plus a tachometer were added with the only thing not working being the vintage 150 mph speedometer which isn’t connected. Outside of that everything is working correctly. In front of the driver sits a Banjo steering wheel fitted with a Brodie knob. This cool Cabriolet has a great look and runs out much nicer than new. Vintage original steel isn’t as available as it once was making cars like this classic much tougher to come by. This car has been SOLD! Please check out our other ads!

Ford, 1902 gegründet, hat sich wohl durch die Einführung der ersten Volks Auto Model T 1908 änderte sich die Geschichte der Automobilwelt mehr als jeder andere Automobilhersteller hatten sie mehr als 15 Millionen Autos bis zum Ende der Produktion im Jahr 1927, durch die erzeugte, T obsolet geworden.

Ford startete die erste günstige V8-Motor angetriebenes Auto 1932 1932 V8 war ein sofortiger Erfolg mit hervorragendem Handling und Leistung für viele weit mehr expansive Autos des Tages treffen. Kein Wunder, dass 32 V8 Ford hat sich wie ein Favorit unter Hot Rodder in der ganzen Welt mit 32 Zwei-Coupé als ihr Symbol.

Während des Krieges Ford vollständig abgeschaltet zivilen Fahrzeugproduktion um alle Ressourcen für die alliierten Kriegsanstrengungen zu widmen (1942-1945) Sie verwendet werden, um B-24 Bomber, Flugzeugmotoren, Jeeps zu bauen, M-4 Panzer, Militärfahrzeuge und Bren-gun Netzbetreibern und mehr als 30.000 turbogeladene Rolls Royce Merlin V-12-Motoren für Mosquito und Lancaster-Bomber als auch P-51 Mustang Kämpfer. Nach dem Krieg Ford-Fahrzeuge in den USA größer und auffälliger zusammen mit ihren Wettbewerbern. In den 60er Jahren Ford war wieder in der Spitze wieder bei der Einführung ihrer kommerziellen Hit Mustang 1964 Mustang war so populär, die Konkurrenz musste Ford Beispiel zu folgen und die ponycar Phänomen gegenüber den USA übernahm. Im Laufe der Jahre wuchs die Ponys einige Muskeln, bis der Ölkrise zu töten tötete sie schließlich ab.

In den sechziger Jahren stürzte Ford in internationalen Motorsport-Szene mit einer Wut. Nach erfolglosen Ferrari Nahme, als Enzo Ferrari hatte den Deal mit Henry Ford II, daß letzterer vor Wut kochen absolut abgeschnitten, wandte sich Ford zu Lola in Großbritannien zu produzieren einen Ferrari nach dem Spiel gegen Langstreckenfahrer . Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Ford und Lola erstellt den mächtigen Ford GT40, die absolut zu schlagen Ferrari in Le Mans 24 mehrfach.

In Europa führte Ford einige der epischen Rennen und Rallye-Autos der 60er Jahre auf der Grundlage bescheidenen Familie Limousinen; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam und Escort 1600RS mit den ikonischen Cosworth BDA Motoren.
