Plymouth Barracuda 1971

Allgemeine Beschreibung : Whoever says you can't own a nice six-figure MoPar without a framed Broadcast Sheet and a call to Galen Govier obviously hasn't been to our 78,000 square foot showroom. That's because, as dedicated gearheads who sweat 30 weight motor oil, we strive to deliver the world's finest investment grade metal AND first class muscle cars that literally define the term 'custom'. Take, for example, this wicked 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. The product of a detailed, ground-up build that included modern leather, Lamborghini pigment and 501 cubic inches of stroked MoPar power, it's an exceptionally well done piece that'll more than hold its own against anything at the show. Looking for some old school Detroit metal that wraps some of the nastiest muscle your money can buy in one of the best looking packages to ever prowl American streets? This awesome resto-mod is just your style!
LIKE 1971, BUT BETTER!
The product of a meticulous, ground-up build that mixed years of skill with a heavy checkbook, this solid coupe wears an impressively straight fuselage that's been massaged to better-than-factory alignment. The car's brilliant two-stage, best known for embellishing modern Lamborghinis, shines rich between stripped panels and custom, bifurcated quarter stripes. That orange and silver menace looks particularly classy thanks to a roster of intricate details. And it all adds up to one of the coolest Plymouth customs under the sun!
The show starts with the best Barracuda grille ever created, which bends subtle Satin Black gills around bright headlights, crystal clear parking lamps and a mirrored bumper. At the top of the car, a familiar 'Cuda hood props silver-trimmed scoops in front of like-new glass that's cased in straight stainless frames. At the sides of the car, prominent fender lines complement filled markers, flush handles and factory fender louvers. And at the back of the car, a Satin Black Go Wing shades a body-matched tail panel that's traced by fresh taillights and a second mirrored bumper.
500 PLUS
Notice that this Barracuda's clean quarters are devoid of Chrysler's iconic '440' lettering? Yeah, that's because this classic's thoroughbred V8 isn't just some simple assembly line transplant. Big, bad and born to run, the car's rowdy 440 has been stroked all the way out to exactly 501 cubic inches and roughly 600 horsepower! At the top of the monster block, a custom air cleaner feeds two Edelbrock 4-barrels, which feed a choice Edelbrock intake. That lightweight aluminum intake feeds lightweight aluminum heads, which stack fabricated valve covers between a polished breather, fluid roller rockers and a requisite roller cam. Compression gets sparked by loomed Taylor ThunderVolt plug wires, which are sequenced to a billet MSD distributor. Spent gases exit through coated long-tube headers. Cooling comes courtesy of a factory radiator, which is teamed with a polished cap, corrugated hoses, a polished expansion tank and a big Derale puller fan. Snazzy March serpentine components spin a polished alternator opposite a polished AC compressor. And both performance and appearance are on point, with billet tanks, polished sticks and a deep-sump oil pan rounding out the details.
CLEAN SIMPLICITY
Bottom-side, a tough A833 4-speed kicks a spry Chrysler 8.75-inch axle that, naturally, is built with 3.31 gears and a Sure-Grip differential. That proven drivetrain pushes a fully rebuilt factory suspension that's been reinforced with boxed subframe connectors. Turns come courtesy traditional power steering. Familiar Wilwood calipers milk a Wilwood master cylinder to cinch a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. A thrill-inducing soundtrack fills 3-inch pipes, which thread throaty Flowmaster mufflers on their way to polished, side-exit tips. At the corners, handsome Rocket Racing Boosters spin 245/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 285/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs. And everything under this sweet MoPar has been primed to show just as well as it goes!
LEATHER AND FLAMES!
Swing the doors and you'll find an attractive custom interior that, albeit plush, still maintains all the street slaying integrity of this Plymouth's muscle car roots! Front-and-center, modern bucket seats wear a sweet combination of French-stitched suede and leather. A wrapped and stitched dash frames classy AutoMeter Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lite telemetry, which makes excellent use of quality Ron Francis wiring. A custom, full-length console, dressed in Lamborghini orange and spiced with silver flames, founds a short Pistol Grip Shifter behind Southern Rods air conditioning and modern Pioneer audio. Premium California Carpet contrasts bright pedals between customized side panels that feature suede inserts. The driver spins a Forever Sharp Billet Muscle Wheel around a painted, tilting column. And, as you would expect, the car's clean trunk features a full array of custom upholstery.
The true beauty of a classic car is that it can be anything you want it to be. Love original lines, but want a little more substance? Looking for some killer metal that'll wow crowds AND tear up the roads? Here it is, no compromises, no disclaimers and no excuses!
