This Trans Am is pretty much thought to be the holy grail of Pontiac. Pontiac wrapped up the short lived first generation Firebird with a very special performance trim known as the Trans Am. This bird was a whole other level of Pontiac. This is what put the F-body Pontiac on the map. Only 697 Firebirds produced for 1969 were Trams Ams.
This 1969 Trans Am really pops in the only color combination available in '69- white with blue stripes. The nostril style hood scoops let you know it means business and has a motor to back it up. Under the hood you'll find a stout 400 cubic inch Ram Air III V8 paired to a 3 speed automatic transmission. Factory rated at 335 horsepower 430 ft. lbs. of torque, it'll shred a nice set of tires in no time. This one has a bit more cam, so it has a killer sounding idle but looks factory stock. She was a race car back in the day, lovingly restored to the gorgeous machine you see here. The interior is sharp and all business, with blue vinyl upholster and a sporty gauge cluster.
How's it drive? It's a relatively light car with a whole lotta torque. You want to respect it but ring it's neck at the same time. It is happy to oblige either request. That's a nice way of saying it hauls ass. This is an investment-grade Pontiac folks. It served its time as Judge defender & Camaro spanker decades ago. Now it's time to hold it and take care of it, not beat it to death, and just watch it continue to appreciate it.
