Studebaker started producing the famous M5 series pickup trucks in 1941 and the M5 being designated as the 1/2 ton pickups. This beautifully customized 1947 M5 Studebaker is sure to draw attention out on the street and at the car shows too. This 1947 Studebaker M5 Pickup Truck is powered by a 350 CID Chevrolet V8 engine, backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a 12 bolt rear end. Options on this 1947 Studebaker M5 Pickup Truck include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and Radial Tires. Out back a 1954 Chevrolet truck bed was added and mated with Studebaker rear fenders that were reworked to match the shape and lines of the front bumpers. The '54 Chevy truck bed was further customized with a nice addition of wood slats giving it a clean and classic appearance. The body was then channeled and set on top of a Nova frame and suspension which gives this truck a much better ride and handling capabilities. The interior has been redone with beautiful high end vinyl coverings that look and feel like leather along with Mercedes wool carpeting that together give this truck a luxurious feel.
