Plus, the cowl hood, dual exhaust tips, and Torq Thrust alloys with a larger rear set give this quite a sporty attitude. We can understand why there would be extra investments in customizing this El Camino. These final-gen cars/trucks were already distinct cruisers with details like the flying buttress B-pillar and a license plate that almost looks like Chevy frenched it into the tailgate at the factory. It's a sharp-looking classic that has an overall, driver-ready style. After all, the liner paint protecting the bed is there to remind you that an El Camino can also be a useful pickup.

The upgrades continue inside with a full Super Sport makeover. Under the hood is an upgraded 350 cubic-inch V8. We love the C4 Corvette valve covers because it fits well with this era of this motor's throttle body fuel injection system. It makes for a powerhouse that fires up readily and makes a nice tune out of the dual exhaust. As a true cruiser you also have easy driving features such as a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and wide modern tires.
