A low nose, big slicks, eye-catching paint jobs and hot street motors! It's easy to see why they were and still are popular. The looks and sound of a big dollar race car with the street manners of a good cruiser. This 48 Dodge is a great example of the genre. It's finished in custom Purple Fade paint with 90s-tastic, orange pinstriping. Riding on spun aluminum, Weld Racing wheels, with the prerequisite 15" skinnies up front, and fat deep dish rears out back. Under the clam shell hood is a modern 5.7l Hemi backed by a 5-speed automatic, with all the wiring, rear end and accessories donated form a 2003 Dodge 1500. You get power, modern efficiency and reliability! Inside you'll find a custom tweed interior with powered buckets up front and a center console with integrated cup holders. The metal dash contains a full compliment of gauges as well as Vintage Air AC controls for cold AC and plenty of heat. There's also a rocking sound system with AM/FM CD player. The custom touches are in the details with this car. Such as frenched headlights and the car has been nosed and decked with all the chrome trim removed. The taillights have been integrated into the lower panel and the rear bumper was removed. This 48 Dodge coupe looks good and sounds good and it's an easy driver with plenty of power.
