This 1965 Ford Mustang GT has proper V8 power, four-on-the-floor, a cool color combo, and the overall appeal of finding a true A-code fastback.
Arcadian Blue is one of these great colors for an early Mustang. Sure, these look good in an aggressive red or black, but a creamy light blue fits nicely with its a vintage car appeal. That's why it also has the upgraded US Mags wheels that allow for modern performance tires. We like this fastback because it appeals to the open road as much as it does a local cruise-in. After all, the louvered rear pillar and GT package give this a hint of the sinister. This one even does it a little more distinction with features like the yellow fog lights in the grille and the triple rocker stripe done in a tasteful dark blue. It also has the correct badging and dual trumpet exhaust pipes coming through the rear valence. Plus, there are the right underlying details, like rear frame rail reinforcements for the dual exhaust that give it the right signs of being a real-deal Mustang GT.
The interior gives you a cool blue and white luxury package. It makes for a very well done overall color theme, because after all, it looks like they mixed the two interior colors to get the exterior one. It's a detailed presentation with working courtesy lights, wood-like trim, and the fold-flat rear seat. Plus, everyone loves the look of the running ponies on the backs of the front seats. There are even nice details like the correct trunk mat and AM radio that's still there for display. So just like the exterior, the overall impression is complete, vintage, and ready for those who want a driver's classic. That's why you have bucket seats, a center console in-between, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Hurst floor shifter.
This is an A-code car, so get you a well-done 289 cubic-inch V8 with four-barrel carb for added performance. The whole setup is quite clean from a good investment. There are also nice details, like the correct decals and FoMoCo washer fluid bag. It even has the look of proper power with the ribbed Mustang valve covers and a bracer bar going across the top. It fires up readily, and the V8 makes a terrific sound out of the H-pipe dual exhaust. In fact, when you check out those pipes in the undercarriage photos, you'll see an overall tidy look of quality underneath the whole car. It gives you confidence to take this one out on the road, and that's exactly what a GT mustang is all about. The four-speed manual transmission gives you full control over the V8 power, and the upgraded tires and front disc brakes are great for handling.
