These two are beautifully coordinated to accentuate the bubble top silhouette of the rare Starliner hardtop. And there is much more color here than just these to glossy modern paints. The two-tones are separated by a custom black and silver air brushed graphic – yes that right – a two-tone separating a two-tone! And if that didn't set your heart on fire, the custom flames on the hood will. And because a fortune was invested in all this glossy paint, there's no way chrome could outshine it. That's why places for tradition brightwork, like the bumpers, headlight surrounds, and grille are all painted to match the car. It gives this coupe a very modern and sporty flavor. That spirit is continued on custom details like the lowered suspension, molded drip rails, shaved door handles, hood scoop, and Billet alloys that are staggered 18/20 inches front/rear for added aggression. That's a 460 cubic-inch Ford big block V8, and it looks terrific with the valve covers, radiator shroud, and the whole engine bay painted to perfectly match the car. Plus, this V8 has all the right components for reliable performance, including a Holley 850 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. And you might want to think for a moment why you can see those ceramic-coated headers better than any other classic Galaxie/Starliner before it. Efter kriget Ford bilar i USA blev större och flashier tillsammans med sina konkurrenter. I 60: s Ford var tillbaka i förgrunden igen när man inför deras kommersiella hit Mustang 1964. Mustang var så populär tävlingen var tvungen att följa Fords exempel och ponycar fenomenet tog över USA. Under åren ponnyer växte några muskler tills oljekrisen döda äntligen dödat dem.

På sextiotalet rusade Ford i internationell motorsport scenen med en raseri. Efter misslyckade Ferrari övertagande, då Enzo Ferrari hade klippt affären av med Henry Ford II gör det senare absolut koka av vrede, vände Ford till Lola i Storbritannien för att producera en Ferrari slog långdistans racer efter. Samarbetet mellan Ford och Lola skapade den mäktiga Ford GT40 som absolut slog Ferrari i Le Mans 24 flera gånger.

I Europa införde Ford några av de mest episka race och rallybilar av 60-talet som bygger på ödmjuka familj sedaner; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, och Escort 1600RS med de ikoniska Cosworth BDA motorer.
