This 1940 Ford Tudor Sedan is one seriously stylish vintage cruiser that offers the promise of fun-filled times at an affordable price. Its steel bodied construction makes it well-suited to handle the stresses of both time and real world driving situations, while its nicely configured, comfortable interior provides an environment well suited for frequent journeys.
The vibrant orange paint draped over its steel form makes for one magnetic classic ride. Its sturdy construction has long been heralded for both its durability and rigidity and true to form, this '40 features strong body alignment that becomes more evident with a closer glance. A modern underdash air conditioning system has been added to the mix and while it's blowing plenty strong, a freon charge may be needed to bring out its full potential. There's no shortage of luggage space in the trunk area - a handy feature, considering this sedan's smooth and quiet running condition will likely prompt you to embark on future road trips.
Very much in keeping with the road ready theme of this classic, the 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood offers plenty of dependable power, but without the potential headaches of more heavily modified engines. It fits surprisingly well in the Tudor's tapered engine compartment, dressed up with a chrome air cleaner that sits over its 4-barrel Edelbrock carb and a pair of chrome valve covers, and it's surrounded by well-detailed components, including a sizable aluminum radiator that sits up front to keep temperatures down in more demanding conditions. The engine teams with a 3-speed automatic transmission to make for a low-effort driving experience. Power steering makes this sedan easy to navigate as it turns heads on its stock steel wheels that have been painted to match the exterior and feature chrome hubcaps.
