This 1967 Pontiac GTO offers something the factory never did... It takes the mighty 455 motor and puts Tri-Power on top! What's even more impressive is you get it on a mean dark blue hardtop that has other great upgrades like an overdrive transmission and air conditioning, too.
The stacked headlight look of the '67 GTO really gave it a mean look. Of course, that is only amplified by one finished in dark blue that almost looks black depending on what lighting you are in. It has a slick appearance that loves to shows off the curves in the profile. And since the doors, hood, trunk, and all panels line up nicely, it makes an impressive first impression. But there's also just the right amount of honesty in the finish so that people don't wonder why this one is out having fun on a Saturday night. The engine bay has a look that will always attract muscle car fans. After all, Pontiac's proper turquoise block with three small air grabbers on top are an instant symbol of a proper Tri-Power machine. And while they're checking out the triple set of Rochester dual-barrel carburetors, you can really get their attention by telling them the engine is a 455 cubic-inch V8. Oh yes! Pontiac gave the GTO Tri-Power and a 455, but never at the same time...and so this one really unleashes your muscle car fantasies. This upgraded powerhouse is supported by the right components, including good hoses, nice belts, an MSD ignition, and a Champion aluminum radiator. There have been nice upgrades to the drivetrain, too, like a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a rear sway bar. Plus, you have power steering, power brakes, front discs, and new tires.
