Just out of loving ownership where it was cherished and well maintained. This Convertible D runs and drives well and wears a nice older restoration. The engine in the car is a period-correct 1600 unit numbered 74615 ( according to the Kardex, the original engine number was 75058.) As you can see, the engine in the car is very close in numbers to the original. A very clean, straight, and solid car overall. Offered with its Kardex from Porsche. The original Porsche 356 Speedster has become a legend, but in its day, it was just a bit too bare-bones for some customers. Only 1,330 were built, compared to nearly 4,000 356 and 356A Speedsters and 2,653 356B Roadsters. That makes the Convertible D a prized commodity today.
