Built by Factory 5 Racing for Blistering Street Performance
This 1965 AC Cobra Roadster was built by reputable Factory 5 Racing in Wareham, Massachusetts back in 2003 to be a dominant street racing machine with all the bells and whistles.  The Ford Racing motor was added in 2013 with the 2nd owner to deliver even more extreme performance, and this highly desirable roadster can be enjoyed on the street or the track.  The torque and handling is exceptional and this sports car absolutely flies on the open road- there are very few examples that compare within the current asking price.
Additionally, this 1965 AC Cobra Roadster shows only minimal amounts of wear to the exterior paint and the body.  It was repainted in 2018 and we can only spot a few insignificant blemishes to the otherwise stellar body, and the interior is equally impressive.  This example doesn’t need anything to be enjoyed immediately and it will provide the next owner years of enjoyment.  It compares to a like-new sports car in just about every aspect- there’s simply no way that this prestigious roadster remains available for long.
Premium Condition with Awesome Curb Appeal
Overall, this 1965 AC Cobra Roadster is an extreme performer with all the upgrades a serious collector would look for in a true competitor.  The current asking price doesn’t even begin to cover the raw build costs of this desirable roadster, so it’s an excellent value that’s ready to be enjoyed today.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Benicia, California showroom, give us a call at 707-748-4000, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # B11520 as well.

About AC
AC Cars formerly known as Auto Carriers, is one of the oldest independent car makers in Britain that has its roots going as early as 1903.

AC appeared to a greater public with AC Ace, a lightweight roadster designed by John Tojeiro with a Weller-designed 2-Litre engine. Soon after, car dealer and racing driver Ken Rudd fitted his own competition Ace with a pre-war BMW-designed, Bristol-produced six-cylinder engine. This combination became known AC Ace-Bristol in 1957 -the car raced at Le Mansin 1957 and 1958.

In 1962, AC was approached by a certain Carroll Shelby to use a small block Ford v8 engine in the Ace, producing the AC Cobra -The legend was born, initially with 260 & 289 engines.

When switching to a bigger 427 engine, a completely new chassis was needed. In collaboration with Ford’s computers and the experience of the AC engineers, the new MKIII was born with thicker main tubes for the chassis, huge cross-braced shock towers and coil springs all around. This, along with the "side oiler" 427 engine, made the new AC Cobra MKIII a formitable race car. Initially a commercial failure, has now become the most replicated auto mobile ever.
