Alvis TA21 Stunning restored condition 1952

General description : Isn’t she just gorgeous? This 1952 Alvis TA21 Drophead Coupé finds itself in a wonderful restored and mechanically overhauled condition. Tickford’s were responsible for building the Alvis TA21 Drophead Coupé. Out of a total of 1,316 TA21’s built between 1950- 1953, only 302 were Drophead Coupés. Initially a Spanish car, it has been in the Netherlands since 2017. The still outstanding restoration was carried out in Spain. This TA21 has a tow-tone finish of "Regency Red" over "Old English White" with a “Burgundy Red” vinyl hood completing this pretty picture. The hood itself is in perfect shape, has a glass rear window and shuts securely all-round. Completing our tour of the external, the brightwork is in fine condition. The quality of the interior trim matches that of the outside in that it is just as fine. The seats have red leather upholstery and are in good condition. The perfect dashboard has fine patinated woodwork with Smith instruments that are all in correct working order. Mechanically speaking the TA21 is in top form. More than € 9,000 has been spent in maintenance alone since 2017. A test drive immediately shows off its mechanical finesse. The engine runs as smooth as butter and, thanks to the large bore 3.0 litre engine, always provides ample power. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission which handles with ease. Finally there are a number of nice extra’s such as the two Lucas fog lights, a badge bar, a radio, bumper rosettes and a reversing light. In short this is an exceptionally well presented, wonderful and rare Alvis TA21 Drophead Coupé! Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!
