General description :
This top quality Austin Healey 100/6 BN4 overdrive left the factory for Houston, Texas on the 26th January 1959. Between 2000 and 2003 this car underwent a full and professional, Bare-Metal, restoration and mechanical overhaul by a Dutch firm. The bodywork is as good as new and as straight as an arrow with excellent body panel fittings. It has perfect paintwork and the chrome decorative elements and underbody are again as good as new. The engine, gearbox and overdrive have been rebuilt amongst all the other moving mechanical parts. It has a new loom. It still has its original, matching numbers, engine that carries a Heritage certificate. It has a Two-Tone ‘Old English White and Navy Blue’ finish with matching hood and tonneau. It also sports chrome wire wheels, a stainless steel exhaust system, aluminium petrol tank and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. This top-quality car not only looks the part it drives a treat! A ‘Big” Austin Healy in perfect condition!

About Austin-Healey
Austin-Healey was a British sports car make created as a joint-venture between the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and the Donald Healey Motor Company. First Healey model, Healey 100, was based on Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals and developed by Donald Healey to be build in-house. They finished a single Healey Hundred for the 1952 London Motor Show. Leonard Lord, managing director of Austin was so impressed by the design that a deal was duly struck with Healey and the car was renamed the Austin-Healey 100 overnight. Austin Healey was born. 100 derived into 100-six, and different 3000 versions before they quit the production in 1968 as the basic design had finally become obsolete.
