This matching numbers 1961 Austin Healy 3000 MK2 is in stunning condition.
The car was body off restored about 8 years ago and was only driven just under 5000 miles since. The restauration was fully documented. A photo report and a recent appraisal can be reviewed on request. Of course our MK2 shows no rust what so ever. The original 3.0 6 cylinder engine runs strong and smooth and the manual gearbox shifts without hesitation. The two tone silver / black metallic paint is flawless. This Austin Healey has been adapted for historic rally competition. Following adaptations where done.
2 SU HS4 Carburettors , Electrical overdrive , hydraulic disc brakes front and back , electronic ignition , special starter , Stainless steel exhaust system , Fuel pressure regulator , external oil cooler , alternator , stabiliser bar , minilite alloy wheels , sport bucket seats with rally seat belts , Lucas floodlights and rally grill , brandz trip master , electronic stopwatch etc..
Original roof and side windows are of course present.

About Austin-Healey
Austin-Healey was a British sports car make created as a joint-venture between the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and the Donald Healey Motor Company. First Healey model, Healey 100, was based on Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals and developed by Donald Healey to be build in-house. They finished a single Healey Hundred for the 1952 London Motor Show. Leonard Lord, managing director of Austin was so impressed by the design that a deal was duly struck with Healey and the car was renamed the Austin-Healey 100 overnight. Austin Healey was born. 100 derived into 100-six, and different 3000 versions before they quit the production in 1968 as the basic design had finally become obsolete.
