Chevrolet 210 383 Stroker 1955

General description : 1955 Chevrolet Custom When the body style for the 55 Chevrolet was revealed in late 1954 it marked a huge turning point for the car manufacturer.  Not only was it a huge success but was also the first successful Chevy with the optional V8.  This 55 Chevy is a factory V8 210 but has had a ton of work done to it which results in a beautiful and well performing Custom Restomod.  The car was completely redone around 10 years ago and has been extremely well cared for since.  It has been primarily used as a show car and has only been driven 12,500 since finished.  It is painted in a nice bright Red and White combination that is in good condition.  All of the chrome and stainless is in good condition as well with no pitting or issues.  The body has been kept mostly stock in appearance but the rear taillights have been swapped out for LEDs.  The stance however is not stock because it is fully adjustable via the Air Ride system so you can set it to the perfect ride height and drop it down at shows.  It rolls around on American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires.  In exchange for the original 265 ci motor this classic is now sporting a 383 Stroker motor.  It was professionally built and made to last.  It features a Hillborn electronic fuel injection system, billet valve covers, MSD ignition and lots of chrome.  The Hillborn injection not only increases performance but looks really cool sitting up top.  It also has a Pete Jackson gear drive which along with the headers, H pipe exhaust, and mufflers which dump out the side let you know that this thing means business.  Keeping it all cool is an aluminum radiator with electric fan.  Paired with the motor is a new 700R4 OD transmission that shifts smoothly and converts power back to the 9 inch modular rear end.  In additional to the Air Ride suspension it has a 4 link set up in rear and tubular A-arms.  Other nice features include front disc brakes and power rack & pinion set up.    The interior features a Red and Beige combo which is in good condition.  It has a split bench up front and full bench in rear.  All of the upholstery and carpet is in good shape.  The dash is painted to match the body and has the stock set up except for the added AutoMeter white face gauges in a custom bezel.  In front of the driver is a chrome tilt column topped off with a woodgrain Grant steering wheel and fitted with a aftermarket tachometer.  On the floor is mounted a Hurst shifter and the Air Ride Technology controls.  The trunk is finished nicely as well with a removable panel that hides the relocated battery and Air Ride equipment. This clean 55 is in great shape and has a ton of cool features.  If you are looking for a tri five with some Hot Rod flair, you just found it. Start cruising in this cool 55 for BIG REDUCTION DOWN TO $44,950.00!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
