Chevrolet Camaro 468 V8 1967

General description : 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Custom As the 60's arrived so did the era of muscle cars.  This name was given to 2 door vehicles that were characterized by powerful engines and more focus on high performance driving.  They typically had longer hoods, shorter decklids, and a longer sloping roofline.  Many credit the GTO for kicking things off but after the introduction of the Ford Mustang in 1965 Chevrolet knew they had to throw their hat in the ring.  The answer was the Camaro.  They shared the same rear wheel drive F body platform as the Firebirds and the Camaro proved to be well received in the market.  They were clearly competing directly with the Mustang which was dominating the pony car world so much so that after asking "what is a Camaro?" by Automotive Press,  production managers responded that it is "a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs."  Back in its day this beautifully custom built 1967 Camaro was already a performance machine but it has since been highly modified and brought into modern times.  It is a pro touring style restomod that has been built up to drive you anywhere.  It isn't just all about performance though because the exterior of this car is very eye catching.  The full body off build has been gone through from top to bottom and the result is something unmatched by a lot of restomods in the hobby.  The body is in excellent condition and coated in a beautiful Blue paint that has a very nice finish.  The color really pops in different lighting and our pictures do not do it justice.  The car wears a lot of its original style chrome/trim which has a great shine and SS emblems.  The cars body lines looked great originally but have been accentuated with a cowl hood, chin spoiler, and deck spoiler which really give it a tough looking side profile.  It also has a new custom billet grill up front with hideaway headlights that let you know when it pulls up behind you it means business.  The custom 3 piece Foose wheels really suit the car nicely and it has 20 in rears with 19 in fronts.  Those wheels are wrapped in low profile tires and the professionally built 468 motor under the hood has no problem getting those spinning.  The car runs and drives out very well.  The engine compartment has a very clean look that you are definitely going to want to show off.  The inner fenders and firewall are all custom painted to match the rest of the body.  It has custom hinges, billet supports, and even the radiator support and hood latch is all chrome.  The motor is fitted with Chevrolet chrome valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, FiTech fuel injection, Edelbrock performer RPM endurashine intake, March serpentine belt system, MSD ignition, and all cool flex or braided lines.  The car runs nice and cool thanks to the aluminum radiator with custom shroud and dual electric fans.  It sounds great with a custom dual H pipe exhaust system.  The brakes have been upgraded to Hydraboost 4 wheel discs with big Baer brakes up front.  The suspension has also all been redone with polished tubular a arms, Ridetech adjustable coil overs, and sway bars.  We get that in your new daily driver you might want an automatic but nothing says "muscle car" like commanding it through the gears yourself.  That's why this car got a 5 speed manual transmission strongly backed by the Moser 12 bolt rear end.  If you enjoy driving just as much as you like showing off your ride, this car is going to put a smile on your face.   The fun doesn't stop there because just as much attention was given to the fully custom interior.  It is a work of art with a 2 tone light and dark Gray theme.  The aftermarket high back bucket seats are in great condition and comfortable.  Between them is a fully custom built center console that is painted to match and flows all the way into the rear.  As it snakes its way into the back you will note a fully custom rear speaker set up with custom rear package tray for the stereo equipment which delivers a great sound.   In the console itself is a storage area, cupholders, power window controls and the Hurst white knob shifter.  Where it mates up to the dash is a custom built gauge pod for the Dakota Digital fuel, temp, amp and oil gauges.  The original gauge cluster has been customized and simplified as well to house only the Dakota Digital speedometer/tachometer combo unit.  The polished tilt column has a custom Silver cover to seamlessly fit it into the dash design.  It is topped with a custom racing style steering wheel that looks great. The Vintage AC/Heat system all work properly and the AC blows cold.  The door panels are all custom and house additional speakers as do the windshield pillars which have smaller tweeters.  Don't exit the vehicle without looking up because, you guessed it, the headliner is all custom as well combining upholstered and Silver painted panels.  The trunk received the same custom design as did the underside of the decklid.  This is an extremely nicely built Camaro that has had a ton of time, labor, and dollars invested.  It was set up to be an excellent performer on the road and take home plenty of trophies along the way.
