Chevrolet Corvette 350 V8 1981

General description : 1981 Chevrolet Corvette Out of all the vintage Corvettes the C3 body style has to fit the Stingray name the best.  With their wide flat front end it is clear why the name inspired the look.  This clean 1981 has a great look and runs great as well.  It wears a nice Silver paint with pearl that has a great shine.  The T Tops are n good condition and a dark tinted glass.  That is one of the reason these old Vettes are cool.  You have a coupe and convertible all in one.  All of the electrical work is properly functioning and the headlights pop up correctly.  The car has 48,056 miles on it which are believed to be original.  It rides on nicely polished out wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.  The 350 V8 motor is numbers matching and runs great.  It has been dressed up with chrome Chevrolet valve covers and a chrome air cleaner.  It is paired with a Turbo 350 transmission that shifts well with no issues.  The car has power brakes, power steering and air conditioning making it a very comfortable classic to cruise around in.  The interior of the car is a bright Silver and in great shape.  The console and dash all have a very stock factory look except for the added Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo.  In front of the driver sits a nice Mahogany steering wheel.  In the rear storage area is where you will find the red top Optima battery.  This car has been SOLD! About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
