Chevrolet Corvette C3 Stingray Convertible (0) 1973

General description : We have a lovely 1974 Corvette C3 available. It started life in Oregon, the USA and is now ready to continue its adventure in Europe. The car has the 350 Cubic Inch power plant. The American Road and Track magazine named this the most all-round engine there was for this particular Corvette generation. In our case this engine is attached to a 3-speed automatic transmission. It is abundantly clear that this car has always been properly cared for. The neat bodywork is correctly aligned. The silver paintwork is fine showing a minimal amount of use. The red interior trim forms a lovely contrast to the silver exterior. Inside there are red carpets and red vinyl seat upholstery. The car also comes with its original hardtop. Just like the exterior, the interior trim has been very well looked after and is in excellent shape. A point worth mentioning is the presence for the first time of sound insulation in the form of rear silencers which further increased the level of comfort inside this Corvette. There is a factory installed air-con unit. Just travelling a few yards will show off the good level of maintenance this car has enjoyed. With less than 97,000 miles on the clock this car still runs like clockwork. The transmission works seamlessly and the suspension ensures satisfying road manners. The brakes too are more than able. At the end of the day is there anything better than a big American V8 delivering a superb soundtrack? This lovely American convertible is bound to transport you back to Route 66 in your minds eye! About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
