Chevrolet Corvette 350 V8 1979

General description : 1979 Chevrolet Corvette From the first generation one no manufacturer has really been able to match the look of the Chevrolet Corvette.  They have always been extremely unique and had a look all there own.  With the C3 body style you see here you really start to see why they are called "Stingrays."  The wide low front that expands creating a body that looks like a wedge cutting through the air gives the car that total sports car look that makes it looks fast even sitting still.  This 79 Corvette is coated in a nice White paint that accents the beautiful Corvette bodylines well.  The trim tag on the car indicates it was originally White with Red interior from the factory which is the combo you still see in place today.  It has received 1 repaint since new.  By this year chrome was more out of style so the original brightwork is limited to the door handles and window trim all of which is in good shape.  The always recognizable pop up headlights are working properly and open/close as they should.  The glass is all in good condition and the original painted to match T tops are there and very simple to remove and put into place.  The original Corvette aluminum wheels sit under all four corners and are fitted with Corvette knock off style center caps and wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.  Pop the hood and you will be greeted with the nice running L48 350 V8 that is paired with smooth shifting automatic transmission.  The car starts up well and runs strong.  Chevrolet Orange valve covers sit to each side with a chrome circle air cleaner up top.  The car also came with original power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning which is all functioning properly.    The Red interior contrasts with the White paint nicely and has been replaced once since new.  The interior of the car utilizes all of the original components with no modifications.  All of the black trim work is there and in good shape.  The dual bucket seats sit nicely in place and have the matching red seat belts.  In back you find all of the original storage compartments as well as a matching Red luggage/Ttop strap.  Corvettes will always be popular and show no sign of going out of style.  A car collection just isn't complete without one! Get it for the very inexpensive price of $17,850.00!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
