Chevrolet Impala 454V8 Big Block 1963

General description : 1962 Chevrolet Impala Although being considered the same generation as the 61 Impala, in 1963 the Impala saw a slight body style change.  The grill and headlight setup look similar but the roofline and body have a more boxed look which was quickly becoming the trend for the 60s.  This 63 Impala has a great look and the bright Red paint has a nice shine.  All of the chrome/trim is in good condition and it wears the SS style badges but is not a true Super Sport.  The triple rear taillights are iconic for these Impalas and give a great looking rear end especially with the Silver painted housing.  The glass is all in good condition and the car even features a custom sun roof that looks like it should have been factory.  The American Racing Torq Thrust wheels look perfect on the car along with the low profile tires that tuck nicely under the rear fenders.  The car has a great looking exterior but the real fun starts under the hood.  The car is powered by something a little more beefier than the standard motor.  It has been fitted with a 454 big block motor that runs very well.  It offers all the horsepower you would need to drive this car wherever your heart desires.  Paired with the motor is a 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts through the gears with ease.  The power steering system works well and makes it a really comfortable driver.  The interior of the car has been nicely done in a two tone Red and Black combo that creates a very cool look.  It has buckets up front separated by the original style center console that has been modified to house an aftermarket B&M shifter.  The dash is painted a nice gloss black and has the stock appearance which includes the engine turned trim piece that was popular for this year.  The sunroof was very well done and even features the sliding interior section like you would see on a modern car so you can choose whether or not to have it open.  These cars were not lacking in storage space and the trunk can easily house all the car show supplies you could ever need.    This car is priced very reasonably at the reduced price of $35,000.00 $30,000.00!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
