Chevrolet Other 350 V8 1957

General description : 1957 Chevrolet Custom Pickup This 1957 Chevrolet Pickup is a nice custom hot rod with only 662 miles since it was completed.  It is known as a big window truck that most consider more rare as less of them have survived over time.  The big window feature was also lost in later designs so it is a feature people like checking out.  The body is very straight and free of any rust or damage.  It is nicely painted in a Pearl White paint with custom Ghost flames that are very light and accent the front fenders and hood.  The original front emblem is found nicely shining on the hood but the fender trim and door handles have been shaved off.  The original chrome bumper is also in place and has a great shine as does the chrome grill.  The truck has a great stance and rolls around on very nice 17 inch Chip Foose wheels. Turn the key and the 350 c.i. small block roars to life very smoothly.  It has been fitted with Edelbrock valve covers, an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor and spark plug wire looms which are all done in a matching pink.  Another cool feature that stands out is the metal radiator hose which goes to show the quality of workmanship that went into the build.  The motor doesn't have any heating issues and with the Aluminum radiator and electric fans is always kept running cool.  It has a ceramic coated exhaust system with dual Flowmaster mufflers that deliver a great sound.  A turbo 350 automatic transmission with 2500 stall converter mates up to the engine and transfers power back to the 10 bolt Chevy rear end with 3.55 gears.  The truck sits on the stock frame but has been modified with a Camaro front clip.   4 wheel power disc brakes were also added as well as power steering.    Grey upholstery was used throughout the interior with pink trim around the dual high back bucket seats.  A custom center console was added between the to provide additional storage and cupholders. White faced gauges were added to the dash in a billet bezel that fits in the original housing.  A Kenwood AM/FM/CD player and underdash AC/heat was also added.  The tilt steering column is painted White to match the dash and is fitted with a GT steering wheel and billet column shifter.  The gas tank was relocated to the rear under the bed which was entirely redone in Red Oak and looks great.  A custom battery box is also mounted in the bed.  Add this hot rod pickup to your collection for $59,500.00!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
