Chevrolet Silverado Fuel Injected 350 V8 1987

General description : 1987 Chevrolet Silverado R10 Pickup The 3rd generation of Chevrolet Pickups was introduced in 1973 and are referred to as the Square Body.  Classic trucks have really become much more popular in the recent decade and of those the Square Body specifically has a huge following.  There are clubs and truck shows dedicated entirely to this generation of Pickup.  They were named for their squared boxy appearance and this generation also marks the first time the Silverado nameplate was used which is still being used today.  This 1987 Silverado R10 is the last square body produced for the third generation before the look was redesigned.  The body is very solid and painted in a very nice metallic Blue and Silver two tone paint with custom flames running down the sides.  It has a nice chrome front bumper, chrome side mirrors and the rear bumper was removed in exchange for a custom roll pan.  The front grill is all Blacked out creating a nice contrast and the original hood replaced with a steel cowl hood.  It looks great rolling down the road on American Racing Torq Thrust wheels with Kumho tires.  In addition to being the last year for it's generation, the 87 R10 was the only square body to receive the the fuel injected motor.  The truck runs out really well and is powered by its original 350 V8 fuel injected motor that was rebuilt 28,000 miles ago.  It is combined with a 4 speed OD automatic transmission that sends power back to the 10 bolt rear end.  The transmission has also been rebuilt 7,000 miles ago.  It is a great driver and features power steering and power brakes with disc up front.    The interior is done in Black and Gray which was redone with new door panels, new upholstery, new carpet and a new dash pad.  Everything has the stock style layout and everything is working properly.  The AC system blows cold with no issues.  It also has power windows with chrome switches on the doors.  The bench seat is in good condition and has shoulder belts for driver/passenger and a center lap belt.  This is a great looking square body that is ready for a new home.  It drives great and has some custom features that make it stand out next to others.  Plus being the last year for the generation and the only with the fuel injection it has some extra uniqueness to it as well.   This Pickup has been SOLD! About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
