Nieuw helaas niet meer te koop, deze Méhari wel dus heeft u toch nog een nieuwe. Bloemendaal, Zoutelande of Ibiza, in uw X5 of Range Rover Sport bent u daar één van de velen en heeft uw presentatie weinig van doen met het relaxte sfeertje waar zo'n omgeving voor staat. Wie de kudde vooruit is, zijn of haar geld liever investeert in een schaal heerlijke oesters met champagne en twee cylinders voldoende vindt is voor de prijs van een paar onderhoudsbeurten aan een 'Range' een hippe trendsetter in de klassieke Méhari. En dan wel in een probleemloze 'nieuwe' Mehari. De auto weegt weliswaar niet veel minder dan een flinke scooter, haar de parkeerplaats opduwen is ook weer wat gênant. Deze Rouge Hopi (dat is echt de kleurnaam) Mehari werd geheel nieuw gebouwd op een origineel chassis. De kunststof carrosserie is nieuw, de bekleding en de techniek, echt ieder schroefje werd vernieuwd. Technisch en optisch dus een min of meer nieuwe auto en toch uit 1979, dus verzekeren voor €100,- en wegenbelastingvrij. Dat doet niemand u na. En dat kan ook bijna niet want hier is geen tweede van. Nieuw helaas niet meer te koop, deze Méhari wél dus heeft u toch nog een nieuwe.

About Citroen
French industrialist André Citroën had been building arms for the French army during WWI by the end of the war he was left with great industrial facilities but no product for the post war market. In 1919 he founded Citroen that became the first mass-production car company outside the USA[3] and a pioneer of the modern marketing as well as factory backed services network. Mind you, even Eiffel Tower served as a billboard for Citroën from 1925 to 1934 -Mon Dieu, monsier!
