Dodge Dart Swinger 318 V8 1974

General description : Description
This low mileage 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger is highly original – right down to the numbers-matching V8. But they still made the right investments in quality, like with the newer paint and R134a A/C interior. The result is a hardtop classic that delivers the vintage feeling but with true cruiser style.
This Dart was already born a deep shade of Lucerne Blue, but what really makes it look extra bright today is the investment in a modern clearcoat respray later in life. It's not so electric to take away the vintage feeling, but it certainly gives it a great glow of nostalgia every time the sunlight hits it. And more than just the paint, this one really get the classic attitude right. It has averaged less than 1,200 miles annually, which demonstrates a well-respected life. So the sheetmetal is exceptionally straight, and elements like the full-length body crease and sharply-pointed front end remain crisp. The black vinyl roof was also updated later in life. It's a great way to not only highlight the pillarless hardtop profile, but it also goes particularly nice with the black steel wheels and cool factory dog dish hubcaps.
Inside the sea of blue continues. Everything looks highly original, so it's believed to be a survivor-grade setup, right down to the artful texture of cloth seat inserts. There's more evidence of the well-respected life with the level of detail on this classic. It's everywhere from the premium wood-like accents, to working dome light, to the AM radio that still powers up. While these were smaller cars by 1970s standards, today they feel quite spacious to accommodate family and friends. Plus, the factory air conditioning has been converted to R134a to keep everyone comfortably cool. But even when it's just you going for a drive, the split front bench has a fold-down armrest to make it feel like you're in a high-back bucket seat. So you'll love cruising this hardtop ant any time, no matter how many come along for the ride.
Under the hood, you can tell there has been plenty more invested in this Dart. The clean and tidy engine bay shows off the original numbers-matching 318 cubic-inch V8. They've made some nice upgrades in power with and Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and intake. This also adds to a nice tune out of the H-pipe dual exhaust. Plus, power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and front disc brakes are great features you want for a classic like this. The solid feeling it has on the road reminds you of the solid investment in this coupe.
Complete with restoration photos, this is the distinct classic Mopar with the right originality and the right upgrades. So it's great to have a total package classic like this offered for such an obtainable price. Call now!

About Dodge
Dodge Brothers Company, founded by Horace and John Dodge in 1900, initially produced components for car manufacturers. In 1914 they stepped into car manufacturing when introducing four-cylinder Dodge Model 30 with all-steel body and 12v electric system.

By 1920 Dodge had become the second biggest car manufacturer in the USA, unfortunately the same year both of the brothers died, the company in turn to was sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928. Dodge found a niche Chrysler Corporation lineup above low-priced Plymouth and medium-priced DeSoto, but somewhat below the top-of-the-line Chrysler
