Made in Fords Wayne, Michigan factory in February 1966, this example has been restored and modified, to the awesome beast you see before you!Its Pearl Yellow and two-tone black exterior are in overall excellent condition though there are a couple of minor blemishes on the drivers side door and rear fender but the paint looks especially brilliant in sunlight. The trucks windows are clear and intact while its lights look fantastic.This truck rolls on Toyo M/T Open Country light truck tires, size 35x13.50R15. Each one surrounds an American Racing black five-spoke wheel. The wheels and tires are in very good overall condition.The trucks bodywork is solid and straight and includes driver and passenger step-up bars and sideview mirrors. The engine bay is very tidy, the battery appears new, the fully-carpeted cargo bay looks good and the bumpers fit well to the body. The floor is also sprayed with a bed liner.Under the hood is understood to be a 302 CID Ford Motorsports V-8 engine with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, aluminum radiator, MSD ignition breathing through dual exhausts. Buttoned to this motor is a three-speed manual transmission with a Dana 44 front axle and a Ford nine-inch rear axle. There is also a lift kit with heavy duty shock absorbers and coil springs. Driver convenience features include power steering, power brakes and Ford front locking hubs.Inside, the black front, high-back bucket seats and folding rear bench are in overall very good shape, as is the matching carpet. The contrasting, light-colored headliner is in satisfactory shape. Facing the driver is a wood-rimmed, three-spoke Cobra steering wheels. The black and yellow inner door panels echo the rest of the vehicles paint scheme while the instrument panel features a full array of Auto Meter gauges. Both the doors and modified dashboard are in great condition. Extra features include driver and front passenger assist handles and a roll bar. The trucks center console, complete with dual cupholders, is in very good order, while the Hurst shifter, complete with white ball, looks good. This vehicle has no audio.The original Bronco was an off-road vehicle (ORV) intended to compete primarily withJeep CJ models and theInternational Harvester Scout. The Bronco's small size, riding on a 92-inch (2,337mm) wheelbase, made it very maneuverable. The 1966 Bronco was not only Ford's firstcompact SUV its marketing also shows a very early example of promoting a civilian off-roader as a "Sports Utility" (the two-door pickup version). The early Broncos were offered in wagon,pickup and a roadster configuration.The truck came with a long option list that included front bucket seats, a rear bench seat, atachometer and aCB radio, as well as functional items such as a tow bar, an auxiliary gas tank, apower take-off, a snowplow, a winch, and aposthole-digger. Aftermarket accessories included campers,overdrive units, and the usual array of wheels,tires, chassis and engine parts for increased performance.Competition to this Ford in 1966 included the International-Harvesters Scout 800 and Jeeps CJ-5.This truck is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer indicates 46,865 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
