Masterpiece is pleased to present this 1962 Ford F-100 Pickup for sale. Ford introduced the 4th generation F-Series in 1961, which was sleeker and wider than the past models. By making the new F-Series more stylish and genteel, Ford hoped to reach out to previously untapped markets.
The '62 is powered by its era correct 292ci 4-barrel V8 paired with a 3-speed manual transmission on the floor. The exterior is done in a two-tone charcoal lower and silver metallic top. The fit and finish is very good with all the panel gaps are correct and the chrome shines bright in the sun. The interior carries the same theme as the outside, with the dash and doors painted with the same color scheme as the exterior. The bench seat is finished in a charcoal cloth which does not show any wear marks or tears.
The truck runs and handles very well and is a blast to drive. When you sit in the driver's seat and turn the key the '62 fires right up and gives you that nice rumble from the headers and dual exhaust. The truck rides on 15-inch chrome wheels with 215/60R15s on the front and P255/60R15's on the back. Other highlights include spray in bedliner.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.
In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.
In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
