Ford F-100 FORD 302 v8 1953

General description : 1953 FORD F100 CUSTOM SHOW TRUCK This 1953 Ford F100 Pick Up is one of the finest in the country.  It was originally built in the early 80s and at that time was strictly a professional show truck.  All of the work done on this truck has been professionally done with the utmost attention being paid to details.  There are so many custom features,  that I am confident we will overlook some in our description. The paint and body is absolutely some of the best I have ever seen.  The black paint shines like new and you can see deep into it like a mirror.  The chrome is in excellent condition in all aspects.  And there is a ton of it.  The tailgate is fully chromed with the outside face being painted black in select areas to give a great effect.  The full tilt front end is in perfect condition and is hydraulically operated from within the passenger compartment.  The bed of the truck has beautifully stained wood with stainless hardware that is also in perfect condition.  There is a sunroof that you would swear was done at the factory. There is some of the nicest pinstripe work tastefully done all over them truck including the frame rails with are painted black as slick as the body, the firewall and even the door jambs.  The running boards are fully chromed and in excellent condition.  Other then the tilt front end,  the body is completely original steel. The drive train and suspension are also a th9ing of beauty again with that same attention to details.  The engine is a strong running 302 V8 with chrome valve covers and a billet air cleaner.  It is backed up by a Ford C4 transmission that shifts smooth but firmly.  The rear end and suspension are fully chromed out of a Corvette with a custom cover.  Even the driveshaft is chromed.  The front suspension is original straight axle with leaf springs and again is fully chromed.  The detail is amazing. The interior is a leather and velour burgundy with the seats out of a Cadillac.  The drivers side has power adjustments.  The dash is painted to match the exterior paint including the pin striping.  It is 100% unmolested and in perfect condition.  Better then new.  The AC is a under dash unit that will freeze you out even on a 100 degree day.  The glass is all in perfect condition. The 2 vent window have some very tasteful engraved scrollwork and the rear window is engraved with "The Family Tradition" which was Ford's marketing slogan back in the 50s.  The steering wheel is a custom 4 spoke with a chrome column.  The transmission is engaged using a floor "Quick Silver Shifter. I know you have heard it before,  but this is honestly got to be one of the nicest 53 F100s in the country.  It is a beautiful truck and would be a great addition to any serious collection.  It could not be duplicated today for less then $60,000 plus. Being offered at $38,500.00!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
