This classic 1928 Ford Model A Pickup is a fantasy about honesty. A truck with a genuine 1920s feel like this one begs for a lazy Sunday drive. And we know it really wants to hit the road by how well it runs.
The story we're told is that this one spent some time in a Kansas museum, and the presentation certainly reflects a truck that would be used for show. That means we bet there will be people who assume it's original (we won't tell the secret if you won't.) The details on this one are nice. It has a canvas roof cover, matching windshield sunshade, grille stone screen, wire wheels, and a matching spare in the front feeder. And of course, there's real lumber on the truck bed floor, and we always love the look of matching wood side rails.
Inside is a cab built for long-lasting function. The vinyl bench seat and matching door panels feel authentic. Everything has the right classic feel, including the large four-spoke steering wheel, early model gauge panel, and pop-out windshield ventilation. In fact, there's only one modern convenience that's easy to spot. There's a SunPro temp gauge cleanly installed below the dash, and this is quite essential for those who love driving their classics.
All Model As, even the trucks, got the same torquey 201 cubic inch four-cylinder engine. That means maintenance and spares are easier that you would think on a pickup that's rapidly approaching the century mark. The block looks honest and correct. There are even some numbers that suggest this is original. As you take a deeper look, you'll also discover some great upgrades to make this a better driver. It includes a 12-volt electrical system, alternator, and upgraded carburetor and intake. It makes for a pickup that has better starting power and improved fuel delivery. That's why this one often fires up with the quickest first try! The three-speed manual transmission has a purposeful and mechanical feel, and so in total, you have rolling history with just the right amount of practical upgrade.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.
In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.
In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
