This 2-owner Ford Mustang GT has been converted to a street/strip car that is completely set up to be within compliance NMRA race circuit to compete in the Fun Ford weekend, True street class. It has all the necessary safety features to keep the driver safe while going down the track at 124 mph clearing a 10.88 second ¼ mile pass. Starting with the powerhouse of the car you will find a level 20 short block DSS 331 CID small block V8 stuffed with goodies. The build sheet on this one is lengthy so below is a list of upgraded parts on the car. DSS 331 CID V8 short block, pro bullet forged pistons, I beam rods forged trimetal CB 634 P main bearings, DSS pro windage tray & main support, GSX piston upgrade, 7qt Moroso high volume oil pump, Ford GT 40-X aluminum heads with port work done & custom hydraulic rollers, accufab 70mm throttle body, long tube headers & 2.5 inch X pipe exhaust with high flow mufflers, dynamic C-4 transmission, 8.8 inch rear end with 3.73 with auburn gear, strange struts & shocks with rear air bag, SVO aluminum drive shaft with safety loop, 8-point roll cage in the car, mustang drag launch kit, Energy suspension motor mounts, MSD ignition components with 3 step wired into trans brake, 255 LPH BBK fuel pump with larger fuel lines, Nitrous express EFI race kit 100HP to 250HP shot, 8.5 inch centerline racing wheels, M&H 275/60/R15 tires, hurst shifter with manual valve body set up, race weight of 3300lbs, SVO front brake package. The car has several race day wins and its best run to date is 10.88 seconds at 124 MPH in the ¼ mile, 60 foot times at 1.5-1.55 seconds. The dyno sheets provided to us by the owner show a max power at 411 HP & 388.23 ft-lb of torque. The motor & transmission have both been rebuilt less than 2k miles ago. The car has not been repainted. This is a turn key car that you can take to the track on Saturdays or to your local car meet and watch the crowd gather. This fast GT has been well maintained & built the right way with no shortcuts. a show car for most of its life. Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
