Ford Mustang 1972

General description : AFFORDABLE A/C DROP TOP, 302 V8, PS, PB W/DISC, P TOP, COLD A/C, FACTORY COLORS

With a great mix of originality and upgrades, this 1972 Ford Mustang Convertible is a long, sleek, and V8-powered droprop classic offered at a terrific price.
This was a great year for the Mustang if you're a fan of American flair. This is the tail-end of the iconic first generation, and these later pony cars have unique design touches. It was following Detroit's maxim of lower, wider, and longer. It includes the line that follows the front fender all the way through the door, and a recessed back panel that gave it a sporty overhang in the rear. The Mustang was given these elongated lines to create a meaner appearance, and aggressive is exactly how this droptop was built to look. That's why it was even upgraded to a Mach I package (after all, we all wished the factory would have done this with the convertible.) It includes the full-length triple stripe, front spoiler, and the blacked-out hood with dual NACA ducts. In fact, with the black roof in place, all these black Mach I elements almost give the convertible a two-tone appearance against the factory-correct Bright Blue Metallic.
As much as we like the way this looks with the roof in place, with the touch of a button, it powers down and whole new dynamic appears. The deeper blue interior color coordinates with the metallic exterior blue to create an almost European-like flair. And because there are plenty of black accents inside, this one has a very sophisticated total appearance with the top down. The Mustang was aimed to be a more upscale car in '72, and you see it in this one with items like the high-back bucket seats, armrest center console, and the button-pattern door panels. And because this was all so well maintained, you really get a feeling for 1970s premium. Even options like the factory air conditioning (now through defrost vents) and AM/FM radio are still doing their job. When you slip behind the dual-spoke steering wheel, it gives you a clear view of the speedometer and tachometer that are set deep in the barrel-style console. This reminds you the Mustang is a driver's machine, and so the upgraded auxiliary gauge trio is quite welcomed, too.
Under the hood this Mustang has a correct 302 cubic-inch V8. It keeps to proper F-code appearance with the big air cleaner and Ford blue paint on the block. This tidy setup is another reminder of the care and investment that has gone into this classic. It even has nice features like a newer gas tank and stainless dual exhaust. That makes for a great cruising classic. And so you'll also be happy to have easy driving features such as the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and modern Sumitomo HRT-Z tires on polished torque thrust-style wheels.
This is a terrific original colors package that has been upgraded in the right places and preserved where you want it. So to get all this at such an affordable price means you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
