Ford Mustang Coupe 289 V8 1966

General description : While first generation pony cars are iconic, this 1966 Ford Mustang is also done with an extra dose of eye-catching character. It has a distinct and correct color combo that also has the right features you really want, like an A/C interior.
Antique Bronze is a distinctive and premium '66 Mustang color. It looks especially nice today thanks to a quality respray. More than just the color, you can tell it has been treated with the proper respect by how the lines are clean as well as how the doors and hood close solid. The bumpers, emblems, and trim have a nice shine to go with this coupe's golden glow. And those styled steel wheels are a great look on this icon. It all makes for a total package that loves to stand out without sacrificing its vintage spirit.
There were the right investments inside to have some great standout touches while still keeping this a very vintage cruiser. For example, the upholstery follows close to the car's original two-tone theme. But now it has been refreshed, and the seat inserts are done with a comfy cloth. The full two-tone is intertwined on the doors, dash, carpeting, and headliner for a very uniform look. And the quality here makes this a nice place to spend some time. Also making this a great cruising classic are features like the well-coordinated cup holder center console upgrade and the original-style air conditioner is still blowing nice and cold. The grippy steering wheel, floor shifter, and round gauge package all gives you that classic Mustang feeling. This one really has a nice sense of authenticity, right down to the AM radio that's still cranking out the tunes.
Under the hood, the full blue presentation of Ford's famous 289 cubic-inch V8 has the right honest look that really fits with the rest of this coupe. There's maintenance here that goes beyond the tidy wires, hoses, and belts (just check out the newer exhaust pipes and gas tank in the undercarriage photos.) So it makes for a strong runner. This classic Mustang is built to be a fine cruiser with features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and excellent tread on the wide modern tires.
You're looking at a vintage Mustang that has received all the right investments to be a looker and a driver. So if you're been searching for a memorable icon, don't miss this deal. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
