Ford Mustang Convertible 200 CI Inline 6 1965

General description : Description
Everyone loves a first-year 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. But when you can find one with its correct and well-coordinated factory colors, and it's highly authentic, then this pony car is a true standout classic.
Red is always a desirable color on a Mustang. And it only gets better with a sunshine-friendly convertible that has a good gloss that's ready for a sunny Sunday drive. But even when the weather is less than ideal, the white folding roof is a newer piece done in a handsome and vibrant white. So this one even has the all-American look of a Coca-Cola bottle with the roof up. Plus, this has all the other iconic pieces you love, like bright wraparound bumpers, distinct Mustang badging, factory-style wheel covers, and whitewall tires.
Because the red and white look is so distinctive on the outside, you also get it on the inside. It makes for an attractive convertible no matter if the top is up or down. And the trim tag tells us this one was born this way! It's a good look as the red intersects the crisp white on the carpeting, seat belts, and smooth dash. This one was done to feel like a true classic, right down to the details. That's why you have a working AM radio, bright three-spoke sports steering wheel, proper heat/defrost sliders, and even the full-size spare in the trunk looks like a factory piece. So while drop-tops are all about having striking interiors, this one is especially going to impress vintage car fans.
Under the hood, the bright block and air topper really make sure people see that you have the unmistakable look of Ford's 200 cubic-inch inline six. It seems quite appropriate for this car, because it was not only born a T-code coupe, but also it fits with this Mustang's factory-style theme. This is even an era-correct block. There looks to have been a good investment in the fundamentals, including the distributor, plug wire, fuel pump, and more. It makes for a good and strong powerhouse. The smooth nature of the inline-six is nicely paired with the control you get from the three-speed manual transmission.
Complete with owner's manual, you're looking at a desirable Mustang convertible that loves showing off its vintage flair. So if you love a true classic that's a true joy to drive, call today!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
