Ford Mustang California Special Tribute 302 V8 1967

General description : The 1967 Ford Mustang California Special tribute delivers the look of one of the rarest and sportiest first-gen pony cars around. And with a powerful V8, five-speed, and a comfy interior, this is the kind of distinct classic that's a blast to drive.
The Shelby-like appearance of the California Special is no accident. This was based on the supercharged GT500 prototype coupe that didn't see the light of day. So if the California Specials were already replicas, then the only thing you lose on a well-done tribute is the big price. There's a nice shine from the Maroon paint, and it has plenty of metallic element to radiate in the sunlight. So it looks good without making you too nervous to drive this coupe. After all, tribute cars are built for drivers. All the correct California Special elements are still present, including the blacked-out grille, fog lamps, Shelby-style rear scoops, and fiberglass tail with built-in spoiler. Plus, with the right GT/CS stripes run down its flanks, "deluxe hood w/turn signals, and the 1965 Thunderbird taillights, this truly distinctive from every angle.
The black stripes of the exterior get you ready for the full black interior. Refinished seats, good carpeting, a smooth dash, and more give you good fundamentals. This is also built with added comfort in mind. That's why you have an armrest center console with cup holders, and the stereo has been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD unit with Bluetooth. There's even an under-dash air conditioning system (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) The driver gets the great updated round gauge package that came on later versions of the first-gen Mustangs, and ahead of that is a grippy classic steering wheel. And have you counted the gears on the Hurst shifter yet?
Under the hood is Ford's mighty 302 cubic-inch V8. It's been upgraded with a full Edelbrock suite that includes the four-barrel carburetor, intake, and finned valve covers. It fires up nicely as headers add power and rumble to the dual exhaust. The upgrade to a five-speed manual transmission really lest you take full advantage of this upgraded powerhouse. And while a car like this was made to let you feel the road, there are also the right driver's features, like front disc brakes and wide Cooper Cobra tires on those polished REV wheels.
This gets the look of a rare pony car right, and it gets the power of a driver's machine right, too. That's why you're going to love this CS tribute. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
