Ford Thunderbird 292 V8 1957

General description : The 1957 Ford Thunderbird is an iconic classic. So, it just gets better when you find one where it has a great shining color combo, removable hardtop, proper V8 power, and a solid investment in the chrome so it shines as bright as your nostalgia.
The '57 T-bird had the sleekest look of the first generation, and so the sporty red paint just seems fitting. And it's a quality application that upholds the premium image you demand from Ford's personal luxury cruiser. Plus, there's nice panel alignment that means you can close the doors with confidence, the fender skirts follow the contour of the body, and there are crisp lines that give you the jet-inspired tailfins. And the complete brightwork package means you get to see the details you love, like the artful front bumper, hood scoop, turbine-style wheel covers, and the exhaust still exits neatly through the rear bumper. The porthole hardtop is practically an icon all on its own. It looks good in white, especially since it matches with whitewall tires.
If you like the red and white look with the hardtop on, then you'll love to know you get the same appeal when you're open to the world, too. There was a nice investment here keeping the two-tone well intertwined. In fact, the white is used to draw added attention places, like the ribbed inserts of the seat and T-bird logo door panels. Even the dash follows this theme with a smooth red on top with white accenting and a white steering wheel. The machined-turned lower dash panel has all the classic pieces there for display purposes, including the heat/defrost sliders and AM radio. The details are nice with the working courtesy light and sporty gauge package. Even the trunk has a stock, correct, and clean look, right down to the stand-up spare tire.
Since you have a bold red car, it's great to lift the hood and see a bold red block. The engine bay not only has a tidy look that's ready to show off, but also it has nice details, like the Thunderbird valve covers and correct polished air grabber. This is Ford's 292 cubic-inch V8 topped with a four-barrel carburetor. That's proper blue oval power, and the way it fires up with gusto signals it has been treat with proper respect. And so you'll love taking full control with the three-speed manual transmission.
This is the sharp-looking and smooth-driving T-bird you've always wanted. So don't let an awesome cruiser like this slip through tour fingers. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
