Many Depression-era Fords have come through our shop but few of them are as nice and through as this one. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is proud to present this 1934 Ford Sedan Street Rod that was with the same loving owner for the past 27 years. This would make a great car to enter into a local cruise event, or even tour the back roads with all the power amenities included such as AC and power front disc brakes!
Starting with a frame from TCI, a California company that reportedly built one of the first Model A reproduction frames in 1974, this completely revamped sedan has a high grade Downs glass body with three inches removed from its roof, uses a stainless four-bar front suspension, sports a Rootlieb steel hood, a Walker radiator and Ron Francis wiring. The suicide doors fit very nicely and open and close as they should.
Its Light Blue Metallic exterior is in overall excellent condition and shines brilliantly in light. The glass panels are tinted, intact and look great. The car’s lights are in very good order. This street rod rolls on Kumho Solus KR21 tires, size 205/70R15 in front and 235/70R15 in back. These newer tires surround five-spoke aluminum wheels and both the tires and wheels look fantastic.
The bodywork on this Ford is superb and the engine bay is extremely tidy. Under the vee’d hood is a 400 CID Chevrolet small block V-8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor hooked to a three-speed automatic transmission with a tall floor shift lever and backed by a nine-inch Ford differential. Driver convenience features include vintage air-conditioning, power brakes and power windows. The engine feels strong and the exhaust note is exactly how you want it to sound.
Inside, the car’s handsome gray interior provides a pleasing contrast to the exterior color. The split front bench and solid rear bench seats look rich and luxurious, as does the matching carpet and headliner. The gray instrument panel has been reimagined with gauges from Classic Instruments and is intact and mirrors the rest of the interior’s theme. Other interior goodies include an Ididit tilt steering column. A three-spoke aftermarket steering wheel faces the driver. The inner door panels are also in excellent order while the mirror glass and shift lever are in very good order. This is a radio delete example.
Noticeable changes for Ford in 1934 included a flatter grille with a wider surround and fewer bars, straight hood louvers, two handles on each side of the hood, smaller headlights and cowl lamps, and a reworked logo. The bare metal dash insert was replaced by painted steel.
The four-cylinder Model B engine was in its last year, as was the Victoria body style; nevertheless, there were 14 body options, the Tudor being top-seller. The standard three-window coupe was deleted. Deluxes had pin striping, again twin (chromed) horns, and twin backlights. Inside, they got more elaborate wood graining.
This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 250 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. This awesome street rod is titled as a 1934 Ford 2 door. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
