Ford Woody Wagon 1953

General description : Description
This 1953 Ford sedan delivery has a sleek and classic look. But beneath the skin is a Mustang 5.0-liter fuel-injected V8 and the control of a five-speed. So the charm of this special build is more than just about nostalgia.
The two-tone Belmont Green and white is a cool color theme. It looks very period-correct with a terrific luster of a true classic. Bright chrome bumpers, straight sheetmetal, and a complete trim package really give this one an instant appeal. Plus, the mag wheels, dual exhaust tips, and blue dot taillights on the hint of tailfin are clues at this car's upgraded nature. So we just know you're thinking about adding a custom graphic or your business name on those long white side panels. We are calling this a Ford, but the design and trim tag suggest it is something quite a bit more distinct. The Meteor line was a separate brand in the 1950s and 60s that sold Fords through Mercury dealers in Canada. They are rare finds today, which gives this the potential for very low production figures, and at the very least, it certainly adds to this car's exceptional distinction.
Sedan delivery vehicles were developed for utility, but this custom build makes sure to add in plenty of luxury, too. The dual bucket seats have a comfy velour and nice bolstering for all-day comfort. Yours even has power adjustments. The dash has a clean and classic look. But you also know you're in for an upgraded experience with the addition of the sports steering wheel, floor shifter, and full auxiliary gauge layout. The rear door swings wide for easy cargo loading, but really you're just going to use it to show off the more custom details. After all, this is impressive with the wood floor and velour sides that have the Mercury logo custom embossed in them.
While this one has a unique presentation inside and out, you're also going to be showing off the engine bay. After all, Fords were still on flathead power in 1953, but this one was moved decades ahead in progress. Now you have the kind of 5.0-liter fuel-injected V8 that made the Fox body Mustangs famous. There are even nice supporting upgrades like an electronic ignition and electric fan. And you get firm control of this modern and hardy powerhouse with a five-speed manual transmission. And because this now has the right packaging to take you near or far, this also has easy driving features like power steering, wide radial tires, and power brakes with front discs.
This has distinction everywhere from the badge on the hood to the V8 within. So if you love a head-turning restomod, don't miss this deal. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
