Es handelt sich bei diesem Honda NSX (NSX stand für New Sports car eXperimental) um eines der Fahrzeuge aus dem ersten Produktionsjahr. Er wurde unter Hondas Nobelmarke Acura für den amerikanischen Markt produziert. Das Auto hat aber (bis wir das Auto gefunden haben) Japan nie verlassen. Offensichtlich hat sich ein japanischer Enthusiast nicht damit abfinden wollen, dass nur ein kleines Kontingent des ersten japanischen Supersportwagens für den japanischen Heimatmarkt bestimmt war und hat dieses Exportmodell erworben.
