Jaguar Mk2 3.8 Manual transmission, very well maintained 1960

General description : The Jaguar Mark II is a four-door sports limousine, which Jaguar presented in 1959 as the successor to the Mk I. The Mk II was initially available with a 2.4 or 3.4 and later the 3.8 liter in-line-six engine. The bodywork was changed and improved, disc brakes on all four wheels became standard, Jaguar was quick to adopt disc brakes as they had proved their worth in the races at Le Mans. The car was driven via the rear wheels by means of a 4-speed manual gearbox (optional with overdrive) or a 3-speed automatic transmission. The word sports limousine was chosen correctly, even if you did not see it immediately, the Mk II was very fast for its time and was well managed as icing on the cake, there was also enough space for 4 people. Our Jaguar MkII Was first admitted to traffic in 1960. The car is equipped with the much-loved 3.8-litre engine with 220 hp and is operated by a manual gearbox. The car has been in the Netherlands since 1997, where it had only 2 owners. The car was well taken care of, judging by the current condition of the Mk II. This is an older restoration. The body is still in very good condition with sleek sheet metal and correct panel fittings. The beautiful deep dark red paint and the leather interior still look beautiful, almost like new. Technology has not lagged behind either. Obviously, the technology has been well taken care of. The car has great handling and drives fantastic. The engine and transmission also work superbly. The traces of use of this copy are minimal, so you will not find any rust. Are you the one who will be driving this beautiful limousine with a very sporty character next year? About Jaguar Mk2
The Jaguar Mk2 3.8 manual overdrive is a classic sports sedan produced by the British automaker Jaguar Cars from 1959 to 1967. The Mk2 was the successor to the earlier Mk1, and the manual overdrive version was an option for those who preferred a more engaging driving experience.

The Mk2 manual overdrive was powered by a range of engines, including a 2.4-liter, 3.4-liter, and 3.8-liter inline-six engines. These engines produced up to 220 horsepower and were paired with a four-speed manual gearbox that featured an overdrive gear, which allowed for more relaxed cruising at high speeds.

The Mk2 manual overdrive had advanced suspension and braking systems, with independent suspension and disc brakes on all four wheels. It also had a luxurious interior with leather seats, wood trim, and a range of options such as air conditioning and power windows.

The Mk2 manual overdrive was known for its exceptional handling and performance, with a top speed of up to 125 mph and acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 8.5 seconds. Its design was also innovative for its time, featuring a unitary construction and a four-wheel independent suspension.

The Jaguar Mk2 manual overdrive has become an iconic classic car, with many enthusiasts still restoring and driving them today. Its design and performance continue to inspire car designers and collectors alike.
