A time warp Series 2 Jaguar XJ6 Long Wheel Base with just 9276 miles covered from new. This car was ordered new by an elderly gentleman who bequeathed it to his chauffeur in 1988. Incredibly the car has been barely used & has only seen rain on one occasion in its life on a chauffeur driven trip to Barmouth. A letter comes with the car from the Chauffeur attesting to this.
The car is finished in Flawless Fern Green original paintwork. To the interior is unmarked original biscuit leather. The car comes with its original book pack & fold out Jaguar supplied lubrication chart & wiring diagram. The original jack is in its appointed place in the boot.
Unusually for a Long Wheel Base example this car is a rare 4.2 Litre with a 4 speed manual gear box. Everythig works as it ought. The headlining is in perfect condition. The car is being sold freshly serviced & is having a full high quality detail, clay bar treatment & polish prior to its sale.
The car was purchased by the current onwer as a gift for his father who had expressed an interest in having a classic Jaguar. It turned out to be an interest only as he never drove it so the car is being sold at what was paid for it 3 years ago.
The car drives simply beautifully & is a real throw back to the glory days of big Jaguar XJ saloons. I remember with pleasure the experience when in my teens of riding in similar vehicles belonging to the better heeled parents of my classmates. For me driving this car is a trip down memory lane!!!
