Jaguar’s XJ6 are know to be a successful gentleman's elegant yet sporty limousine. The car we have is quite special, a long wheel base version, the car for a captain of industry. The car was first registered in 1973 and was subsequently registered in the Netherlands in 1999. The good basic state of the car led to a very thorough and professional partial restoration in 2006. The bodywork was taken back to bare metal and resprayed. Over €15,000 was invested in bringing the car back to its very best whilst keeping as many original elements as possible. A thick file with numerous invoices details the exacting level of perfection afforded to this car. It goes without saying that this car has been kept in great condition to this very day. The wonderful paintwork shows barely any signs of use. The chrome has acquired an original patina look. The seats were re-upholstered using supple black leather and the carpets too were replaced. The rest of the car’s interior has an upmost original feel. The woodwork is really quite fine with the dashboard being fully intact. This car provides a pleasant drive thanks to diligent maintenance and servicing. The automatic is as smooth as you like. There is absolutely no rust to be found anywhere.
